Who are we

The unit has been going since early 2013. We are a small group and aim to stay that way. Our members are mostly both former and serving UK military, with operations in Afghan, Iraq and Bosnia to name a few, under our belts. but we also have some hard core Arma nuts.

We are a close nit bunch, some of us served together in RL. However we are welcoming to new members and are a friendly lot.

Our missions are aimed around small team tactics, and being based on the SBS we do a lot of water borne training and ops.

We take on all skill levels but do require especially new people to arma to put in the time and effort to get up to a decent level.


OUR ETHOS

Its Simple, DON'T BE A DICK !!

We wont tolerate abuse towards our members in any form, if you can't be nice then we don't want you.

If any members have disagreements then we will try to solve them amicably.

We have a laugh and take the piss, that's the way we are, sometimes we might push the boundaries a little, but we wont stand for any racism of any kind.

We are trying to build a small group of like minded people to play arma in a fun and tactical way, without taking ourselves too seriously. But in our missions we screw the nut and get the job done, or die trying

Selection and training

We have a selection course that must be completed before progressing to the troop.

This isn't because we think we are the best, its for both immersion and fun, it helps us gauge the level of a candidate and lets them have a look at us. Its only short and we go through quite a lot of stuff,

Its aimed at teaching new people to arma as well as testing the arma vets.

We don't shout or bark orders. The course can take as long as a candidate needs. Extra training can be given if needed.

All details on selection will be given to new candidates.

Once completed everyone moves onto the swimmer canoeist course. This is what sets the SBS apart from the rest. We take the diving and underwater stuff to a new level in arma. Its both challenging and enjoyable.

Once thats complete its onto specialist roles within the troop.

  • Marksman/Sharpshooter

  • JTAC

  • DEMS/Breacher

  • Engineer

  • Autorifleman (Minimi)

There are also Advanced roles such as Sniper, Heavy weapons, Driving and advanced diving.
